These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Progress for Google Slides Chrome extension ("the Extension"). By installing or using the Extension, you agree to these Terms.

1. Description of Service

Progress for Google Slides lets you assign completion statuses to slides in Google Slides presentations, view overall progress in the title bar, and optionally sync statuses with collaborators through Google Drive file metadata.

2. Eligibility

You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to use the Extension. If you use the Extension on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

3. Google Account and Services

Optional sync requires a Google account and your consent to Google OAuth with the drive.metadata scope. Your use of Google services is subject to Google's Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google LLC.

Your use of the Extension is also governed by our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for the sharing settings of presentations you edit in Google Drive.

6. Intellectual Property

The Extension is provided under the MIT License unless otherwise noted in the repository. You retain ownership of your presentations and the status labels you assign.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE EXTENSION IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. We do not warrant uninterrupted, error-free operation or compatibility with every version of Chrome or Google Slides.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE AND OUR CONTRIBUTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE EXTENSION. THE EXTENSION IS FREE.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the project maintainers and contributors from claims arising from your misuse of the Extension or violation of these Terms.

10. Changes

We may update the Extension or these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree, uninstall the Extension.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Extension at any time by uninstalling it. We may discontinue or modify the Extension at any time without notice.

12. Open Source

Source code is available in the project repository. Third-party components may be subject to their own licenses.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable law in the jurisdiction of the project maintainer, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country require otherwise.
